Ninja Jiraya

Curator's note

Jiraiya, hero of the Japanese tokusatsu series broadcast in Brazil through the 1980s and '90s as 'Jiraiya: O Incrível Ninja,' where it became a defining piece of the country's pop-culture memory alongside fellow Metal Hero import Jaspion. The character, Toha Yamashi, guards half of an ancient inscription tied to the space capsule Pako. Iron Studios' Art Scale 1/10 statue was among the studio's first releases built around a Japanese tokusatsu property for Brazilian collectors, hand-painted polystone.
