Curator's note

Magneto, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, first appearing in X-Men #1 (1963) as the team's original adversary, a Holocaust survivor whose conviction that mutants must seize power rather than plead for tolerance was forged at Auschwitz. In the 1995 Age of Apocalypse storyline, an alternate timeline born when Charles Xavier died before he could found the X-Men, Magneto takes up that role instead, leading the team himself. Iron Studios casts him hovering above scrap metal reshaped by his own power, cape spread, polystone, about thirteen inches tall with an included alternate head.
